We need to talk about Trayvon

What part of m-u-r-d-e-r does the Sanford, Florida police not understand?
Facts:
1. This Zimmerman guy insists that he was threatened and then knocked down by Trayvon Martin, the teenager he killed. A police surveillance video shows him arriving at the police station with no trace of blood or bruises, nor did he check into an emergency room that night.
2. Zimmerman called 911 saying he was following a suspicious character. The recording indicates that he was told to drop the chase. He didn’t listen.
3. Trayvon’s girlfriend was on the phone with him at the time of the murder. In the recorded conversation obtained by the media, the teenager tells her that some guy is following him and she tells him to run. (See ABC coverage here.)

We’ve all heard about the “Stand your Ground” Florida law that in his case allows Zimmerman to literally get away with murder. “Stand your Ground” law or not, how likely is it that had a black man killed a white kid, the Florida police would let him walk?

This is not the first time the Florida government does its own thing rather than the right thing. Although it’s probably not fair to bring this up in relation with the tragic death of this child, I for one still smart at the fraudulent presidential elections of 2000 when George W. Bush, brother of Jeb Bush who was governor of Florida at the time, became president, following a shameful Supreme Court decision. We would have been spared eight years of grief and immeasurably bad consequences had Al Gore’s clear majority vote not been stolen. Of that sad time, Hunter S. Thompson wrote, “Bush didn’t actually steal the White House from Al Gore, he just brutally wrestled it away from him in the darkness of one swampy Florida night. Gore got mugged, and the local cops don’t give a damn.”

As they don’t give a damn about Trayvon’s murder.

Such a shameful event! Aren’t we any different from the Islamic Republic that allows “basseeji vigilantes” to kill the likes of Neda under the guise of “self defense”?

Just to say the least: assuming that Zimmerman is telling the truth about being assaulted by Trayvon, just look at the respective body sizes. You want me to believe that Z couldn’t subdue T, easily, with bare hands, without having to DRAW a gun? Pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase.
